Overview:

We are looking to hire a Lead Offensive Security Staff Engineer to join the growing Blackhawk Network Global Information Security Team, who will report to the Manager of Information Security.  This position is based in Bengaluru,India with onsite. This position will be tasked with leading and growing the Blackhawk Network Offensive Security Team. The ideal candidate will be a technical self-starter with a passion for breaking ‘all the things’ unbreakable; and working with teams to fix them. The candidate will understand the impact and security decisions that need to be made to keep corporate and production infrastructure secure, and then be able to articulate those to engineers and business teams outside the Security team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead security architecture design initiatives and drive strategic security decisions for global security posture
  • Provide expert guidance on AI/ML security implementations, including model security and secure machine learning pipelines
  • Design and implement AI and LLM strategies integrating security controls throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Manage and mature security tooling ecosystem including Jenkins CI/CD, SAST, SCA, DAST, and API security solutions with the help of AI and LLM Technologies
  • Mentor security teams and conduct security design reviews for complex security initiatives

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in application security engineering with demonstrated expertise in large-scale, enterprise environments
  • Experience mentoring teams and driving cross-functional security initiatives
  • Hands on in AI/ML security including model security, secure ML pipelines, and AI governance frameworks
  • Understand the LLM Integration models such as Augmented Generation (RAG, CAG), Tool Calling and Model Context Protocol (MCP)
  • Have explored or implemented AI tools such as LangChain, LangGraph, Flowise, Copilot, AWS Bedrock and FastMCP.
  • Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely and efficient completion of objectives.
  • Understand AWS cloud services including IAM, VPC, ALB, ECS, EKS security services, and compliance frameworks
  • Proficiency with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and security tool integration
  • Have used standard SSDLC tools such as DAST, SCA, DAST, SBOM.

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or related technical field
  • Relevant security certifications (CISSP, CSSLP, AWS Security Specialty, or equivalent) preferred
  • Strong communication skills with ability to translate complex security concepts to diverse technical and business audiences
  • Experience with threat modeling, security architecture frameworks, and risk assessment methodologies
  • Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare, e-commerce).
