We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer (Node.js) to join our team. In this role, you’ll design, build, and scale critical systems that power the gift card recipient experience used by millions of customers worldwide. You’ll be responsible for building fault-tolerant, distributed systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering high-quality, resilient software at scale.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).

• 4+ years of hands-on backend / distributed systems development experience using Node.js (with strong experience in frameworks such as Express.js, NestJS, or similar).

• Deep understanding of asynchronous programming, event-driven architectures, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.

• Experience building scalable, high‐availability, fault‐tolerant systems using microservices or service-oriented architectures.

• Strong experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and proficiency with NoSQL / caching (e.g., Redis, DynamoDB) / message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, BullMQ).

• Experience designing and implementing RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs; strong understanding of web services, JSON, etc.

• Familiarity with performance optimization (profiling, troubleshooting, latency reduction), scalability, and reliability concerns in production systems.

• Experience with observability / monitoring (metrics, logging, tracing) to maintain system health and support debugging in production.

• Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular for building user-facing components and bridging backend systems with UI experiences.

  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) including RDS, Lambda, SQS, and EC2.

  • Experience with container-based application development using Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Familiarity with TypeScript for building large-scale, maintainable applications.
