Overview:

Sales department of Japan is entirely responsible for Blackhawk Network’s Commerce business, and this department is also proactively pursuing cross-selling opportunities of Incentives business in the region.

The Sr. Sales Engineer will work with local Sales Managers to optimize engagements between local customers and our global engineering and infrastructure organization, both preemptively to minimize failures and resolving unexpected events, meeting contractual SLAs. This role will support the local sales organization to win new content and distribution partners, providing technical insight into BHN’s solutions, answering technical and operational questions raised by prospective partners. The Sr. Sales Engineer will own and lead the delivery projects for Japan business as a local PM.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical expertise and support during the set up and implementation of the organization’s products for clients, acts as an escalation point for the most complex issues.
  • Acts as a technical advisor to customers, providing strategic guidance and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights and feedback on product enhancements and improvements
  • Leads the implementation, resolution of service incidents and maintenance of complex and customized installations of company products.
  • Conducts product workshops and trainings for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Provides support and service activities for major clients
  • Identifies opportunities for service improvements and cost reduction
  • Develops strategic client relationships and deep understanding of their business and service needs.

Qualifications:

  • BA in Engineering, computer science, or a related field with more than 8 years of experience or equivalent relevant experience
  • Expert level technical knowledge and understanding of the organization’s products and solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate post-sales procedures and best practices.
  • Exceptional ability to think clearly and structurally.
  • Ability to influence, rally, and inspire others without direct line authority.
  • Problem solving skills, especially under pressure.
  • Fluent communication in Japanese and English.
