Overview:

A Staff Network Platform Engineer designs, implements, and maintains scalable, secure, and automated network infrastructure platforms that empower development and operations teams to deliver applications efficiently. This high-level position involves a blend of technical depth, strategic planning, and leadership, ensuring optimal network performance, reliability, and security across the organization.Typically 7+ years of experience in network engineering or DevOps or NetOPS a related infrastructure role, with a proven track record of designing and managing large-scale, complex networks.

 

Responsibilities:

Platform Design & Implementation: Design, build, and maintain our internal developer platform (IDP) and core AWS infrastructure (VPC, EC2, S3,TGW, Routing).

Automation & IaC: Develop automation scripts and tools using Python, Bash, and IaC tools (Terraform/CloudFormation) to automate provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes.

CI/CD Pipeline Management: Establish and maintain robust Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to enable rapid and reliable software delivery

Configuration and automation: Configure network components like VPCs, subnets, route tables, and VPNs. Automate routine tasks for deployment, configuration, and monitoring to improve efficiency. 

Qualifications:

  • Technical Depth:
    • Expertise in AWS cloud services and Hybrid cloud architectures.
    • Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (Python, Bash).
    • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
    • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
    • Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
    • Solid grasp of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and security best practices.
