  • Own the end-to-end product strategy for APAC multi-branded cards (HIM/HER/Kids/Teen, etc.), integrating retail category management principles across all products.
  • Define portfolio positioning, target demographics, and commercial objectives for each card theme and associated retail categories (e.g., fashion, dining, entertainment, gaming).
  • Develop and manage a balanced category mix to optimise consumer relevance, retailer diversity, and revenue performance.
  • Identify category expansion opportunities based on market trends, whitespace analysis, and evolving consumer demand.
  • Evaluate new card concepts using category performance data, retail gaps, and consumer insights.
  • Conduct competitive analysis (local & global) to refine product design, category composition, pricing models, and promotional cadence.

2. Retail Category Curation, Assortment Planning & Partner Management

  • Lead retail assortment planning for multi-branded cards by curating the optimal mix of retailers across priority categories.

  • Partner with internal teams to identify high-growth and underpenetrated retail categories for inclusion.
  • Collaborate with Partner Management to negotiate placement, branding use, and promotional participation.
  • Oversee contract alignment, logo rights, artwork approvals, and retailer brand guidelines.

3. Product Packaging, Creative & Category Representation

  • Lead creative development of card design, packaging, and merchandising assets that clearly communicate category-led value propositions.
  • Ensure visual balance and representation of key retail categories across packaging and marketing materials.
  • Maintain compliance with retailer brand guidelines, including logos, disclaimers, and redemption messaging.
  • Localise packaging for APAC markets (languages, legal text, expiry statements, compliance notes).
  • Coordinate seasonal or limited-edition designs aligned to key retail moments (e.g., Christmas, Mother’s Day, Back to School).

4. Product Operations, SKU & Lifecycle Management

  • Own SKU management across digital and physical channels, including pack size, denominations, expiry settings, and barcode changes.
  • Align SKU strategy with category segmentation and merchandising strategy.
  • Maintain product change logs (artwork updates, retailer/category mix changes, new denominations).
  • Partner with Inventory & Fulfillment teams on forecasting, print runs, replenishment, and stock optimisation.
  • Ensure operational readiness for new SKUs and category updates.

5. Activation, Redemption & Technical Enablement

  • Coordinate with Engineering/Platform teams to ensure accurate category-to-retailer mapping and redemption routing (POS, online, hybrid).
  • Validate settlement logic, redemption rules, and fraud thresholds across retailer categories.
  • Manage mapping tables defining retailer availability by product and category grouping.
  • Support onboarding of new retailers, ensuring proper integration into relevant categories (UAT, catalog configuration, payment flows).

6. Regulatory, Legal & Category Compliance

  • Ensure all packaging and digital listings comply with APAC gift card regulations and category-specific requirements where applicable.
  • Maintain retailer terms, cardholder T&Cs, and mandated consumer messaging.
  • Coordinate with Legal on changes to retailer inclusion, category restrictions, or redemption limitations.
  • Ensure consistent application of GST/VAT rules across all participating retailers and categories.

7. Channel Enablement & Category-Led Go-To-Market

  • Develop category-based merchandising guidelines for aggregated card products.
  • Enable corporate buyers with catalog spec sheets, pricing tables, and category-focused bundles.
  • Partner with Marketing to execute campaigns highlighting key retail categories and seasonal demand moments.

8. Product Performance, Category Analytics & Optimisation

  • Monitor performance by theme, channel, retail category mix, and seasonality.
  • Analyse redemption behaviour and category-level usage patterns to inform assortment and product design.
  • Track KPIs including sell-through, GMV, redemption trends, breakage, cost per card, and category contribution.
  • Identify underperforming categories or retailers and optimise the assortment to improve overall performance.

    • Operations & Fulfillment (inventory, pack-out, quality control)
    • Finance (settlement rules, retailer fees, category profitability)
    • Legal/Compliance (packaging, T&Cs, regulatory adherence)
