We are seeking a highly experienced Staff DevOps / CloudOps Engineer to lead the design, reliability, security, and scalability of our cloud and platform infrastructure. This role requires strong hands-on expertise in cloud technologies, automation, and scripting, along with the ability to influence architecture and mentor engineers across teams.

Cloud & Infrastructure Architecture

• Design, build, and operate highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure (AWS / Azure / GCP).

• Define cloud architecture standards, best practices, and reference designs.

• Drive capacity planning, performance optimization, and cost efficiency.

DevOps & Platform Engineering

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable and repeatable deployments.

• Build and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi).

• Develop automation and tooling using Python and Shell scripting.

• Enable developer self-service platforms and reusable infrastructure components.

Reliability & Operations

• Own production reliability, availability, and operational readiness.

• Define and monitor SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.

• Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts.

• Improve observability using logs, metrics, and distributed tracing.

Security & Compliance

• Implement cloud security best practices, IAM, secrets management, and network security controls.

• Partner with security teams to meet compliance, audit, and governance requirements.

Technical Leadership

• Mentor DevOps and application engineers on cloud, automation, and operational best practices.

• Review infrastructure, deployment, and application architecture designs.

• Collaborate closely with application teams; working knowledge of Java and Spring Boot is a strong plus to better support application runtime and deployment needs.

• 6+ years of experience in DevOps, CloudOps, or Site Reliability Engineering.

• Strong hands-on experience with a major cloud provider (AWS preferred).

• Deep experience with Kubernetes and container-based platforms.

• Proficiency in Python and Shell scripting for automation and tooling.

• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).

• Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.).

• Strong Linux, networking, and troubleshooting skills.

• Hands on experience in performance tuning of systems
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Excellent strengths in time management and organization skills with an aptitude toward creative problem solving.
• Proven self-starter. Track record of managing multiple complex tasks.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and to be productive and effective within a matrix organization.
• Excellent communicator – verbal and written skills required.
• Experience in finance, payment industry is a plus
