We are hiring a Software Engineer II to join our Core Systems teams at BHN.
This team drives automation, reliability, observability, upgrade readiness, and operational excellence across multiple backend platforms. The role combines strong backend engineering with an AI-first approach to productivity, debugging, automation, and modernization.
2–5 years of backend engineering experience
Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot
Solid understanding of distributed systems fundamentals (timeouts, retries, logging, monitoring)
Experience working in large scale enterprise grade production environments
Hands-on exposure to:
Open Telemetry, New Relic (APM, metrics, traces)
Splunk (log analysis)
Comfortable using AI tools as part of daily development workflow
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
Experience with OpenTelemetry
Exposure to AWS cloud services
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and release automation
Experience participating in incident response or on-call rotations
