We are looking for a Software Engineer II to join our Servicing Engineering team at BHN and help build modern, scalable experiences across our servicing platform.

This role is ideal for a full stack engineer with strong front-end depth, especially in React, and solid backend skills in Java and Spring Boot. You will work on user-facing workflows, integrations, and platform capabilities that improve servicing experiences for customers, partners, and internal users.

We are looking for an engineer who is comfortable working in an AI-augmented development environment and is proficient in using modern developer productivity tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and similar AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development, improve code quality, and prototype solutions effectively.

Front-End Development

• Build and enhance modern user interfaces using React
• Develop responsive, intuitive, and high-quality user experiences for servicing workflows
• Translate product and business requirements into well-structured front-end solutions
• Improve usability, performance, and maintainability of front-end applications

Full Stack Engineering

• Build and enhance backend APIs and services using Java and Spring Boot
• Integrate front-end applications with backend systems and services
• Contribute to end-to-end feature delivery across UI, API, and integration layers
• Participate in design, development, testing, and production readiness

Engineering Quality

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
• Support debugging, issue resolution, and continuous improvement of the platform
• Contribute to better observability, logging, and operational readiness where needed

AI-Augmented Development

• Use AI developer productivity tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and similar tools as part of day-to-day engineering work
• Leverage AI to accelerate coding, debugging, refactoring, testing, and prototyping
• Apply engineering judgment to validate and refine AI-assisted output before production use

Required

• 2–5 years of software engineering experience
• Strong experience in React and modern JavaScript / TypeScript development
• Good hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs
• Proficiency in effectively using AI-led developer productivity tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar coding assistants
• Good understanding of front-end architecture, component design, and state management
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with modern UI libraries, design systems, or micro-frontend patterns
• Exposure to AWS or cloud-native development
• Familiarity with observability or monitoring tools
• Experience working on customer-facing or workflow-heavy platforms
